Our StaffMervin A. Stringer has been employed full time in the fire investigation field for over 30 years and is the founder and owner of M. A. Stringer and Associates, Inc. He served as Chief of the Melbourne Beach Fire Department from 1972 to 1975 and earned his Associate of Science degree in Fire Science Technology from Brevard Community College, Cocoa, Florida, in 1975. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida in 1977. He has qualified in both state and federal courts as a fire cause and origin expert and has also provided courtroom expert testimony in fire prevention, fire codes, fire suppression systems, electrical fires and arson motives. Christian K. Mulkey has been employed with MASA since August of 1995. In 2001 he earned his Bachelors of General Studies degree from the University of New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his Associates of Science degree in Fire Science Technology from Delgado Community College, with Honors, in May of 1998 and his Associate of Science degree in Electrical Construction Technology in December of 1998. He also earned his Associates of Arts degree in Education from Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, Florida in 1991. He has been involved in hundreds of fire investigations and has qualified in both state and federal courts as a fire cause and origin expert. While employed with MASA, he has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining our evidence documentation, identification and storage system. Bryce W. Peck has been employed with MASA since March of 1998 and presently conducts fire investigations and maintains our evidence control system. He additionally assists in many other areas regarding fire scene documentation and has participated in hundreds fire scene examinations. In December of 2000, he earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Louisiana. He received his Associates of Science degree in Fire Science Technology from Delgado Community College, New Orleans, Louisiana in December of 2004. Mr. Peck has been a guest speaker for several organizations on a variety of topics, from on scene documentation to current subrogation issues.
